Miami families at a Miami Gardens school and South Florida kids in a children's hospital got a Dolphins visit this week, and 200-plus officers spent a day at Hard Rock Stadium with 15 Miami-Dade high schools. The players' outreach ran through the Sieler Safe Haven Foundation and the team's Football UNITES service program.
Why it matters
For Miami-Dade students and the officers who patrol their neighborhoods, the Police and Youth Conference offered a structured chance to meet face to face through role-play and breakout sessions. For families at The Light Preparatory Academy, the volunteer cleanup means a refreshed playground and renovated STREAM lab and auditorium.
The Police and Youth Conference drew 15 Miami-Dade high schools and more than 200 officers to Hard Rock Stadium. This was the fourth year of the Football UNITES Days of Service, but the extraction gives no year-over-year participation comparison.

The details

The same day, the team hosted the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project Police and Youth Conference at Hard Rock Stadium, where students and officers took part in role-playing real-life encounters and breakout sessions led by law enforcement from agencies in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Running back Ollie Gordon II and offensive tackle Chukwuebuka Godrick joined the sessions, and Amazon presented a law enforcement panel discussion. Separately, volunteers from The Light Preparatory Academy in Miami Gardens worked alongside families to spread mulch, clean the playground and paint the STREAM lab and auditorium as part of the Football UNITES Jason Jenkins Days of Service.

Beyond the 305
The school project is the fourth annual Football UNITES Jason Jenkins Days of Service, extending a yearly Dolphins service tradition in Miami-Dade. The Police and Youth Conference puts the team's community work alongside law enforcement agencies from Miami-Dade and Broward.
Students from Miami-Dade high schools and officers who work their neighborhoods now have a shared, hands-on experience from the conference to draw on. Families at The Light Preparatory Academy in Miami Gardens will find a cleaner playground and freshly painted STREAM lab and auditorium when they return to school.
The takeaway
Community service by the Dolphins reached hospital patients, high school students, officers and a Miami Gardens school community in one day. If you want to get involved, watch for the next Football UNITES Days of Service announcement from the team.
